Days Gone’s zombie bashing bikers are running late, delayed to April 2019
February 2019 just got a little bit less exciting. PlayStation 4 exclusive Days Gone – the open-world game from Bend Studio – has been delayed until April 26, 2019. This is the second delay for the title, which originally had a release window of 2018.
The news is tucked away in an update on upcoming PlayStation Worldwide Studios games, and uses the traditional ‘polish’ excuse, which is the developer equivalent of a basset hound munching on your history paper.
“While the studio is eager to see Days Gone in the hands of fans, Bend Studio will take the opportunity to further polish Days Gone,” writes Asad Qizilbash, vice president of marketing for exclusive games at PlayStation.
While it means our dreams of taking on hordes of ‘freakers’ before riding our bikes into the sunset will have to wait a little longer, our experience with the game so far suggests it’s going to be worth it. Bend Studio can stay out of detention for now.
